Below are the resources used in your recent workshop at KIOSC with Ryan Evans and Brickulum. The robot is a simple design but quite capable for FLL purposes using the standard kit. The lift mechanism uses two parts that aren’t in the standard kit – a worm gear and a 24 tooth gear – but both are popular parts in the EV3 kit amongst many others.
Also, if you wish to build both of these attachments, you will need an extra 5×7 frame and one extra 4×2 L beam.
The lessons from these designs are in the strength of the gearboxes with the gears locked together in the frames and the modular nature of the attachments, being able to be swapped in and out quickly without leaving pins or axles attached to the base robot.
Feel free to use these items in competition – just make sure you credit them in judging. I hope that you are inspired by these designs and modify and extend them.
